Jack R. Rodman
Jack Rodman is one of the preeminent real estate workout and restructuring specialists in the United States and Asia.
Before joining the Crosswater team, Jack spent 37 years as a real estate consulting partner at Ernst & Young and Kenneth Leventhal & Company (where he was the Los Angeles headquarters office Managing Partner) and as an independent consultant in China.
For three decades Jack earned his restructuring stripes on highly complex large-scale workouts in the U.S. and Canada. In the mid-90’s, Jack took his workout experience to Asia and ran the first portfolio auctions of distressed assets in Japan, Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, Philippines and China. Jack has become one of the leading experts on Chinese property markets, banks, asset management companies and non-performing loans and is frequently quoted on these topics.
Prior to his recent return to the US, Jack spent eight years in Beijing and Shanghai where he served as a financial advisor to top Chinese banks and AMC’s resolving their NPL portfolios. From 2007 to 2010 Jack was a Senior Advisor to King & Wood PRC Lawyers, the largest law firm in China and helped international investors restructure their Chinese investments.
Jack has served as a Trustee of the Urban Land Institute. He has an MBA from UCLA and teaches Real Estate Investment and Finance at Harvard University.
