Stephen Chambers
Based in London, Stephen has been involved with most aspects of commercial and residential real estate investment for over 40 years with 37 years involvement with international real estate.
Stephen has worked for Coal Industry Nominees Ltd (now part of LaSalle Investment Management), the Greater London Council, Hillier Parker May & Rowden (now part of CBRE), Town & City Properties Ltd (the largest real estate developer in the world during the 1970’s) and for 26 years at Allsop (the largest real estate auctioneers in the UK and Europe) where he was an Equity Partner. Following retirement from Allsop, Stephen was brought in to head the real estate department at St Dunstan’s, a charity for blind ex-service men and women for 4 years and during this period he restructured the department and commercialized the real estate portfolio significantly increasing the income in spite of selling a major part of the portfolio using innovative unconventional methods.
The main emphasis of Stephen’s work has been in institutional real estate investment and development in the UK, Europe and the US for UK pension funds. He has undertaken workouts throughout the UK, Denmark, Belgium, the Netherlands, France and Germany.
While at Allsop, Stephen worked with Lowe Enterprises Investment Management LLC from 1986 advising a group of UK pension funds investing in US real estate. Stephen has been an independent Consultant to Lowe Enterprises Investment Management LLC and a director of Lowe Hospitality Structured Investment Fund.
Stephen is a graduate of the University of London with a B.Sc. in Urban Estate Management and is a Freeman and Liveryman of the City of London.
